distributed transaction flow marshalling error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

i am writing a wcf server + client with transaction flow enabled.

Starting the client gives a ProtocolException error which says,

that the marshalling can't be disabled for transaction flow (error with transaction manager communication).

By the way, Server + client are working localy on both mashines.

Do i have to enabled mashaling on the transaction manager? how to do that? And, why

do i have to do that. Should not marshaling be enabled for distributed transactions anyway?

    Cheers,

  • Are these machines in a Windows Workgroup?

If they are in an Windows Domain (same or trusted ones), you shouldn't need to disable security.
