  • Question

  • Hi all,

    I build one Nk.nb0 for imx51 evk  board in wince 7.I had downloaded the image into the board successfully and its boots up.But I am not getting the display in the dvi monitor.

    Can anybody tell me which are the things I want to enable in catalog items for getting the dvi output display?

  • Look into the catalog items,you will find the option for choosing the DVI output.After selecting that catalog item ,build the BSP and check out.

  • Check in platform.reg and platform.bib for entries which are under BSP_DVI or just DVI.

    Verify in NK.bin if they are reflected or not. If not you have to make sure to get those entries to NK.bin

  • Actually, the same question was already asked by you in your previous post.

    Changing from DVI or lcd configuration can be available either in the eboot menu or it will be in the catalog items of your BSP.

    Did you tried the options ? In the second case you have to select the catalog item of your BSP and build the BSP as explained by Prabu

  • Hi,

    I checked in the platform.reg and platform.bib files.Th DVI display entries are there and I saw the .dlls are in the nk.nb0.

    In platform.reg is

    #if ((defined BSP_DISPLAY_DVI_TFP410 && defined BSP_I2CBUS2) || defined BSP_DISPLAY_CHUNGHWA_CLAA070VC01 || defined BSP_DISPLAY_VGA || defined BSP_DISPLAY_LVDS_MITSUBISHI_AA084XA03 || defined BSP_DISPLAY_TVE)
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\Drivers]
        "Display"="ddraw_ipu.dll"
        "Order"=dword:10

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\Display\DDIPU]
       "Bpp"=dword:10                ; RGB565
       "VideoBpp"=dword:20           ; RGB666 (32bpp internal)
       "VideoMemSize"=dword:2000000  ; 32MB

    #if $(bsp_si_ver) == "2.0"
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\VDI]
       "Prefix"="VDI"
       "Dll"="vdi.dll"
       "Order"=dword:20
       "Index"=dword:1
    #endif

    -------------------------------------------------------

    and in platform.bib file have

     Display Driver
    ;
    IF BSP_NOPMIC !
    IF BSP_NOCSPI !
    #if ((defined BSP_DISPLAY_DVI_TFP410 && defined BSP_I2CBUS2) || defined BSP_DISPLAY_CHUNGHWA_CLAA070VC01 || defined BSP_DISPLAY_VGA || defined BSP_DISPLAY_LVDS_MITSUBISHI_AA084XA03 || defined BSP_DISPLAY_TVE)
        ddraw_ipu.dll     $(_FLATRELEASEDIR)\ddraw_ipu.dll              NK  SHK
    #if $(bsp_si_ver) == "2.0"
        vdi.dll           $(_FLATRELEASEDIR)\vdi.dll                    NK  SHK
    #endif
        displaycpl.cpl    $(_FLATRELEASEDIR)\displaycpl.cpl             NK  SH
        displayset.exe    $(_FLATRELEASEDIR)\displayset.exe             NK  SH
    #endif
    ENDIF BSP_NOCSPI !
    ENDIF BSP_NOPMIC !

    -------------------------------------------

    Then what will be the problem?

  • Check the registry setting for dvi is found in the reginit.ini file of the release directory.Also try to add some retail messages in the \PLATFORM\iMX51_EVK\SRC\DRIVERS\IPUV3\DISPLAY\dvi.cpp file to verify whether your DVI is intializing properly while booting.

  • Hi prabu,

    In the reginit.ini not have any details at all.that have only

    ; @CESYSGEN IF FILESYS_FSREGHIVE
    ; This tag MUST come before all registry settings and HIVE BOOT SECTION tags.
    ; OUTPUTHIVE
    ; @CESYSGEN ENDIF

    ; @XIPREGION IF COMMON_REGISTRY_NLS_MUI_INIT
    ; HIVE BOOT SECTION
    ; Place data here which would be required for a hive-based boot.  That includes
    ; data necessary for starting drivers to reach a hive located outside ROM or
    ; RAM.  This data will be put into boot.hiv as well as into your default system
    ; hive.  Any configuration which does not use the hive-based registry will
    ; include this data in its registry, in the same manner as the data outside the
    ; hive boot section.

    ----------------------------------------------------------

    and while booting time I am getting the logs from the hyperterminal is
