Is the goal to upload vital signs for either yourself or an individual you manage health information for, or are you interested being able to fire-and-forget a message to healthvault from some external application that contains vital signs information?  If the second, check out our DOPU (drop-off pick-up) connection model, which allows for just that kind of one-time one-way data transfer to HealthVault for users.

By "authentication shell" I'm not certain what you mean, but typically "shell" is used as shorthand for https://account.healthvault.com (or the PPE equivalent), which is the HealthVault UI for viewing and managing your HealthVault account.

  • Hi Bernie,

If you have Windows Live ID authenticated to HealthVault, you can login into HealthVault Xray and can upload Vital Signs going to Item Types tab.

    Hope this helps...
