GetUnicastIpAddressTable IP Helper function RRS feed

  • Question

  • While developing a MB/Miniport driver, i have disabled EnableDHCP & trying to manually add IP address for my miniport driver.

I'm following steps mentioned in msdn link : http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff552604(v=vs.85).aspx

The steps suggests something as below :

      1. Use the GetUnicastIpAddressTable IP Helper function to find all the IP address entries in the system.

      2. For each entry whose InterfaceLuid value matches the InterfaceLuid of the MB interface:

But the output of GetUnicastIpAddressTable is not listing my InterfaceLuid.

The link doesn't elaborate, the else part of if (InterfaceLuid value matches the InterfaceLuid of MB interface) which is happening for my case.

Do i need to register my interface so that it get listed in GetUnicastIpAddressTable using NdisIfRegisterInterface? Or Do i missing something else?

Please throw some light on this.

    Thanks in Advance,
