'Resource' does not contain a definition for 'Layout' RRS feed

    HI

I recently upgraded to Visual Studio 2017 and started working with Xamarin for Android. I successfully created my first app. Then several days later on reopening the solution I get the 'Resource' does not contain a definition for 'Layout'.

When I open the same source code on a different machine it compiles and runs fine without the error.

Any suggestions how to fix this machine? Win7 32Bit

    Regards

    Meir

    HI

    Thanks for your response

I took the sources from computer 2 that did work and copied them back to computer 1 and now the source works on both computers. But I am baffled as to why this happened and what will be the real fix if it happens again..

    Regards

Can you provide the exact error message?

If you are missing a definition, make sure to look in your Resource.designer.cs file to ensure there is a definition for Layout and whatever resources Layout contains.
