Kinect external power source. RRS feed

Hello, I just purchased the XBOX360 with Kinect and I wanted to start messing around with the SDK.

In the readme file it states as a requirement: A retail Kinect for Xbox 360® sensor, which includes special USB/power cabling

Since mine did not come with it, I would like to know if I can purchase this: Kinect Sensor Power Supply

** Has anyone tried using this adapter? Is it the same one that the retail brings.

    Thanks in advance.

  • definitely. On EBAY its less than $10 (US only) and around $8 (World-wide) .  I should have checked there first. I just didn't search good enough this time around.

I don't really know how they make it so cheap, but 10 bucks may worth the try =)

Maybe they have large stocks, so they get better prices from microsoft, or it's just smuggling LOL

Just to state it, microsoft's HDMI cable for xbox360 it's like 20$-30$, i bought a HDMI cable for 10$ and it works as fine as the microsoft's.
