SharePoint : Custom Workflow Permission Issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have created custom workflow in our application and associated with content type but here only the site collection administrator can allow to add/edit workflow settings and all other users get access denied message when try to configure workflow, so as per requirement we need to give permission to specific user group to allow add/edit workflow setting even if they are not site collection admin.

  • Hello Kiran,

    >WWF

    You mean windows workflow?

If user is having "Manage Lists" permission then they can add/edit/delete workflow from list. As i can see contributor does not have  this permission by default so they can't do it. You just try to give "design" permission to user and verify.

we have created WWF and attached it with content type, also we check the user has at least Contribute permission, however it only allow to edit if logged in user is central site admin else it throws access denied error.

    Thanks,
