Bluetooth handsfree profile: device appear like a bluetooth headset to a cellular phone RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Team,

    I am using wince 6.0. I would like to know the configuration (registry settings) of making my wince device as a Bluetooth handsfree device.

    I am able to establish an HFP connection with mobile phone but my device is detected as a pc (pcicon) in the mobile not as a handsfree device, is there any configuration to do the same.

    Regards,

  • Hi,

    I have seen in one post that the following registry entry will help identify the device as a handsfree device.

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\sys]

        "COD"=dword:xxxxx

     Can you let me know the value that i can set for COD?

  • Hi,

    I changed the following registry value and now its showing as a hands free device.

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\sys]

        "COD"=dword: 200408

     Now the problem is that when I try to establish an HFP connection with some phones like DROID it fails … it shows the result code as 1053 (host reject the connection). what may be the reason for host rejection in some phones?

     Regards,
