Appli iOS Modal Popup Issue RRS feed

    Hi,

I have a typical Modal Popup Extender on my page.  I am experiencing two issues that are occuring only in iOS devices (iPhone and iPad).

Issue 1:  When the Modal Popup is called, only the <div> area that contains the Modal Popup is grayed out in the background and not the entire page as is the case with desktop browsers.

Issue 2:  After the Modal Popup opens, all of the controls in the Modal Popup Panel are not responding when pressed (clicked).  It seems as if the controls in that active popup are moved to some other area of the screen?

I am using the latest version of the Ajax Toolkit.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

    Thanks.

    Hi ,

The ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit is a shared source project built on top of the Microsoft ASP.NET AJAX framework. It is a joint effort between Microsoft and the ASP.NET AJAX community that provides a powerful infrastructure to write reusable, customizable and extensible ASP.NET AJAX extenders and controls, as well as a rich array of controls that can be used out of the box to create an interactive Web experience.

Based on my testing, the Toolkit can work well in the Safari version 3.2.1 and the 4 beta (for Windows).

As we know the software should be downward compatible when the latest version is released. So, if the AjaxControlToolkit is not working in the iPhone OS 3.0 beta 5 on your side, you need to ask help from the support of Safari, not here.

    Hi mattcase,

According to your description, I see you come across two issues.

For the first issue, the Modal Popup Extender background Div cannot cover whole screen.

I suggest you use Iframe replace it. Just like below.

       http://ajaxcontroltoolkit.codeplex.com/workitem/20235

For the second issue, the controls in Modal Popup Extender are disable.

I suggest you notice the PopupDragHandleControlID property like below.

    Hope this helps, thanks.
