Use of Bing satellite images to detect human rights abuses RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I am working on a Master's project to detect evidence of human rights abuses automatically (i.e. programmatically). For this I need satellite imagery of appropriate locations (e.g. Sudan) at sufficient resolution. I need these without names and streets overlaid on top.

I also need historical data for the same location, so that a "before" image can be compared with an "after" one.

Is all this possible with Bing images?

    Thanks

Answers

  • Bing Maps currently doesn't not provide access to historical imagery for the same location. It only provides the most recent image that is available.
