Can't delete disk in Preview Portal (?)

    Question

  • I have a single unattached disk created with the Preview portal that I want to delete.

Preview portal: OS disks (classic). I see the disk but have not found a way to delete it using this Portal.

Classic Portal: Go to Storage option, I see the same storage and, at the bottom of the screen, is a Delete trashcan.

Why can't I delete it in the Preview Portal? (The Classic one seems to have no issue!)

    TIA,

  • You can access both the classic portal and the preview portal disks easily from PowerShell https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/dn495255.aspx.   For now, the general rule is use the Preview portal for Resource Groups and use the Production portal for the rest. Remember, Preview is just that... A preview (not yet fully functional or ready to release as complete code :))

  • There are features that are not supported yet by the new portal. From what I know this is one of them. In time, the new portal will incorporate all the features, but until now we need to use both of them

  • Ho! Ho!  (But no Merry XMAS). An unsupported feature.
