    ...
        </pic:pic>
       </a:graphicData>
      </a:graphic>
     </wp:inline>
    </w:drawing>

    to

    <w:pict>
     <v:group id="_x0000_s1043" editas="canvas" style="width:541.55pt;height:147.9pt;mso-position-horizontal-relative:char;mso-position-vertical-relative:line" coordsize="10831,2958">
      <o:lock v:ext="edit" aspectratio="t"/>
    ...
      <v:shape id="_x0000_s1042" type="#_x0000_t75" style="position:absolute;width:10831;height:2958" o:preferrelative="f">
    ...
      </v:shape>
      <v:rect id="_x0000_s1044" style="position:absolute;left:9043;top:13;width:1171;height:207;mso-wrap-style:none" filled="f" stroked="f">
       <v:textbox >
        <w:txbxContent>
         <w:p>
          <w:r>
           <w:t>Postretirement</w:t>
          </w:r>
         </w:p>
        </w:txbxContent>
       </v:textbox>
      </v:rect>
    ...
      <v:line id="_x0000_s1154" style="position:absolute" from="8614,462" to="8615,2919" strokeweight="0"/>
      <v:rect id="_x0000_s1155" style="position:absolute;left:8614;top:462;width:15;height:2457" fillcolor="black" stroked="f"/>
    ...
     </v:group>
    </w:pict>

    so you can now edit/access the content directly. Is there a way to do this programatically?

    Cheers

  • Briefly looking, the top xml content specifies a picture being inserted directly and the bottom xml content specifies a picture filling a textbox or a rect shape. Is that what you have changed in editing the picture?
