[Windows 8.1] WpcURLOverride xml structure RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to set the WpcURLOverride settings but I am unable to find the structure of the xml. I assumed it was like the rest of the replace commands in the parental controls but none of my attempts have worked. Below is the example I assumed due to this standard replace working for the other parental controls. I understand that logically this should not work since it seems the Allowed section is its own settings and I need a way to tie together the url and if it is allowed or not.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <Replace>
      <CmdID>5</CmdID>
      <Item>
        <Target>
          <LocURI>./cimv2/WpcURLOverride/WpcURLOverride.SID=S-users-sid/URL</LocURI>
        </Target>
        <Meta>
          <Type xmlns="syncml:metinf">text/plain</Type>
          <Format xmlns="syncml:metinf">chr</Format>
        </Meta>
        <Data>http://www.blocked.com</Data>
      </Item>
    </Replace>

  • I can't get this to properly function. How would one go about adding sites to block/allowed lists?

  • I was never able to fully get it working and was told by support to get this to work the EOBO account must be a child account. That is not an option in my environment so I did not try it.
