Is there an equivalnet of "azure web job tools" in vs 2017 for vs 2019 ?

I have vs 2019 and i am trying to publish my microservice  to azure. I have checked and dont have any  extensions installed.i

I am loooking under extensions and updates to try and add an extension so that when i right click on the project i can publish , but it doesnt pop up any screen ?

I also cant create an Azure Function Project in VS2019 ?

any ideas ?

Hi robby32,

As far as I know, if you want to develop Azure function in VS2019, you should firstly make sure you have installed the azure development in visual studio installer.

I have done that , twice. even uninstalled and re-installed . no luck.

I am using vs2019 enterprise.  

After reinstalling component Azure Development, for the 3rd time there is a log and it displays the following , 

Package 'msodbcsql,version=16.0.62003.5180,chip=x64,language=en-US' failed to install.
This installation is forbidden by system policy.
Contact your system administrator,I am using windows 10 Home edition.

I have adjusted System Policy to allow, but maybe i am missing somethibg. Can i install in safe mode , to ignore all policies ?
