Hello,
We are using Project Server and Project Pro 2010. Up to this point we have used the standard calendar as well as a modified calendar to represent our internal resources.
It is now time to refine our plans and focus on enterprise resource management starting with the individual project plans and then moving to the enterprise resource views/reports. My question is around resources and known out of office time - vacations,
training, etc. Is it best to maintain this information at the enterprise level vs. at the individual plan level? It seems so and if yes, is this best done via PWA and opening the resource in Project Pro - calling up the resource calendar and entering
the vacations, etc?
I should add that we currently track our vacations and training in a specific Department plan where the demand and actuals against the plan are maintained. This however does not address the unavailable time in the project plans the resources are assigned
to.
Thank you -
