How best to use Stored Procs in Entity Framework RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have very recently began to use LINQ and Entity Framework.

I am curious as to which is the preferred option for working with SQL Server Stored Procedures - add the stored procedures to the Entity Model as Function Imports or add to a LINQ to SQL Class??

It seems more straightforward to call the stored procs in the LINQ to SQL Class but since I am quite new to this I would appreciate any opinions on the matter and what would be best practice?

Also can I only call UDF Functions through a LINQ to SQL Class?
