Shared data source

Question

Hi,

Plz how can i use a shared data source between all reports, because every time I change the data source name i need to edit each report before redeploy it.

Answer 1

1- Right click on Solution Explorer

2- Add New Item

3- Select "Data Source"

4- Name your Data source and fill the required properties in there. 

 

In your reports, Edit Selected DataSets and go to detail of Data Sources and Check the box indicates "Use Shared Data Sources Reference" and from drop down list choose your Data Source that you have created in previous portion and you are done.

Thank  you for your reply Arbi, i have already added a new data source, but how make all my reports reference it in one click or at the time of deploiement, because i have more than 100 report so i can't change each report.

Either you have to that in your reports in design time or go to web and change it over there again one at a time. I do not think there is a way you can change all of them in same time.
