MS Expression4 and PayPal Button Code RRS feed

  • Question

  • I never had a problem with the paypal buttons code in Expression but now using Expression4 and the paypal code:

    <form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post">
    <input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_s-xclick">
    <input type="hidden" name="hosted_button_id" value="2BQGYMNQADTB4">
    <table>
    <tr><td><input type="hidden" name="on0" value="Website Design">Website Design</td></tr><tr><td><select name="os0">
     <option value="Static">Static $680.00</option>
     <option value="Dynamic">Dynamic $1,360.00</option>
     <option value="Flash">Flash $2,500.00</option>
    </select> </td></tr>
    </table>
    <input type="hidden" name="currency_code" value="USD">
    <input type="image" src="https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_paynow_SM.gif" border="0" name="submit" alt="PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online!">
    <img alt="" border="0" src="https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_US/i/scr/pixel.gif" width="1" height="1">
    </form>

    takes the button image and blows it up for no reason...the code is good when pasted to desktop and viewed but in the Expression program blows the image up..how can I fix this?

    Thanks

  • Without seeing your site and being able to examine the code, how could we tell? All you have posted is the Paypal code, which doesn't tell us anything.

    Read the Forum FAQ and then come back and post link to the site, otherwise we're flying blind.

  • OK, the code looks good on site but in the Expession4 program it blows up...can't work with a huge image blocking everything else...on the site it will look fine but it's in the Expression4 program that it is all blown up...not sure how to show you that.

    It's like something in the program is making it blow up...

    Not having a problem on the site...having trouble in the program..

  • No, Expression Web does not "...auto-check boxes inside the image...".

    I use those Paypal buttons on a number of sites, including one that I just finished last week. I have never had that problem.

    And images are images; they don't have check boxes in them; they are just little graphic items. I don't understand what you are talking about at all by that description.

  • "Expression auto checks boxes inside the image that should not be checked"

    Does not compute ... does not compute...

    In other words: what on earth do you mean?  :)  EW can't possibly check checkboxes inside an image.  An image doesn't have checkboxes unless its just an image of one.  I can only assume you meant something completely different.

  • This is what you get when students are allowed to graduate from schools having not demonstrated an ability to convey thoughts clearly.

    Perhaps, she meant some checkboxes within the UI that allows setting properties of an HTML element?

    EW doesn't automatically set anything that distorts a paypal button image, so we can't even speculate.  :)
