Access web app, move from o365 to on-premise.

Hi All,
just tried to move an Access Web App from o365 to On-premise. Always ends up in error:
"There were errors when validating the App Package."
Does it have something to do wit the fact that the o356 Access web app has been upgraded with new features, and the
on-premise version is still the same since 2013 ? (Despite the latest CU)Thanx

Hi,
Yes. Package installation in a different "deployment environment" is not supported. Have a look at the second paragraph of this article.
The updated features of the online version listed at the end of this article only come with Sharepoint 2016 onprem. But even with 2016 I wouldn't expect a cross environment installation to work.

Hi Pettt,

O365 is a subscription, and it supports automatically upgraded with new features which is updated by Microsoft. On-prem is a product which you need to update manually. They are two different things.
With the link from Karl, have your issue been resolved by creating an app package for an on-premises Access app? If you have, I suggest you mark the helpful reply as answer. If not, I suggest you share us more details steps.
Best Regards,
Edward

I think i understand the concept of o365 vs on-prem, however on-prem SP2013 upgraded to the latest CU does not have any of the new features found on o365. Lets agree that this is a marketing strategy rather than anything else :O)
Thx
