[PHP][Web Apps] Running PHP commands for Web Apps in Powershell RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there!

It is our first time using Azure Web Apps and we want to use it in future.

So we moved our Symphony framework to our new Azure Web App.

Now we are wondering if it is possible to run php commands with the PowerShell.

In special we need it for the following migration command:

    php app/console doctrine:migrations:migrate

Is there a way to make this run?

I tried several things in PowerShell, but it seems there is no cmdlet for this.

    Thanks & Best Regards

    Marcus

  • Thanks for your tips & links folks!

We finally found what were looking for: The Kudo - to run php on the server.

And we also found a nice step by step tutorial for Symfony what I guess can be adopted to other use cases:

Thanks again & have a great time!

  • Do you need to run commands on the server side or client side?

If from the server side, please see WebJobs: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/websites-webjobs-resources/

If from the client side the following cheat sheet might help: http://microsoftazurewebsitescheatsheet.info/
