assuming you are doing a web application and not a native app, then you are developing html for safari. see:

Hi,

There is no specific Microsoft Technology for iPhone application development.

For Web Application development, use asp.net webforms or asp.net mvc.

For Application development(Thick Client) - NO

Not yet for what you want to develop, but have a look at these guys: http://www.dragonfiresdk.com

In their current release they are mainly focussing on Game Development, but their Enterprise Edition is expected during the fall, and then they will have more functionality for web access and web services.
