C# AutomationElement does not work with locked screen RRS feed

  • Hi Ramana,

Thank you for posting in the MSDN forum.

Just to make this issue clearly, is this issue related to the unit test in VS IDE?

It seems that you create a coded UI Test to install a windows app, am I right?

If so, to playback the coded UI test, the desktop has to be active, so you couldn’t lock the PC. In addition, if you want to run the test remotely, you need to install the Test Controller and Test Agent, and you need to make sure that the app is active in your test Agent machine. I mean that the computer that is running an agent on which you want to run coded UI tests cannot be locked or have an active screen saver.

    Best Regards,
