Help needed from Microsoft. My attempt to install SQL 2005 Tools on Windows 7 64-bit machine failed, and now I cannot successfully uninstall it or reinstall it. I get a weird error message like: "0:Watson 1:1317 2:StreamSupportFiles 3:sqlCreateDirectory 4:5 5:t:\yukon\sql\setup\darwin\sqlcastub\catarget.cpp 6:36 7:sqlcastub.dll 8:sqlrun.msi". Also my HKLM\Sofftware\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folder has dozens of SQL 64-bit entries. Should I delete these before starting over?
Please advise how to clean out the failed install from my registry, and best practices for properly installing SQL 2005 Tools on my Windows 7 64-bit. Thanks!
