why i can not access the runtime services from another computer by HTTP? RRS feed

  • Question

  • i have two computer A and B in the same LAN. computer A runs simulation services.

in A, I can access the runtime services by typing http://A:50000 in IE. however, in B, the IE shows "can not display the webpage" when i type http://A:50000.

in A, the microsoft dss host service is in the exceptions list of windows firewall. and i got replies from A when I enter "ping A"  in command prompt window of computer B.

thanks theSailor and Henrik. I disabled security in http://A:50000/security/manager and Added tcp port 50000 in windows firewall exceptions list. now i can access http://A:50000 from browser of computer B.

    another problem is:

I run simulation tutorial 2 on both A and B, but I can not connect to A from dashboard of B. of course, tcp port 50001  is in windows firewall exceptions list.

I have solved the problem. the authentication of security settings on B should be disabled too.
