Automatic updates for excel 2010 add-in with windows installer RRS feed

  • I am having an excel add-in which need to be installed for All Users in a machine.So I develped a setup file, but now I want to add automatic updat feature to it. I published the new code to a shared folder, but still it is not updating in client machine. Is there any way to give both features together:

    1. automatic updates

    2. Install addin for all users using the machine

    Thanks for posting in the MSDN Forum.

    As far as I know, this is an “either – or” option for your issue. If you want to automatic update your add-in, you can install it for specific user on the computer. If you want to install for all of user you will lost automatic update feature of the ClickOnce installer.
