Navigating top document to inexisting package page shows about blank?

Question

Hello guys.
According to the docs, navigating the top level doc to a non existing package URI should terminate the app. I'm not seeing that in the app I've built. After clicking over the link, I get a complete blank page and no catrastophic error msg. Is this a bug of this last release?

Thanks Luis,
I see the confusion. I will ask the document writers about this!

Hi Luis,
What docs are you referring to?

Hello Jeff.
I'm talking about the migration to release consumer word doc. It has a title which says "remove default error page for top-leve document navigation errors in metro style apps using JavaScript and HTML" where it says that top level document navigation error is comparable to the crash of the app.
In my app, I've passed it a non-existing URI and it just showed me a blank page (I expected to see an error and/or a crash).
thanks.

Hello again Jeff.
Does this mean that showing a blank document is the correct behavior or is there a bug in the code and that's why I don't get the crash?
thanks again.
