The concurrency visualizer cannot start because ETW collection is currently in progress

    Question

  • Hi,

I am trying to run concurrency visualizer and getting error message that "the concurrency visualizer cannot start because ETW collection is currently in progress". I have searched over web and find that "Nt Kernel Logger" may cause the issue. Checked and confirmed that kernel logger running, but when trying to stop it, it restarts automatically  just after one second. Tried to restart the PC but without help. Also, I noticed that there are "UPBM" and "Diagtrack-Listener" event trace sessions running which even can't stop as access denied. Checked that my user have admin privileges.

Does anyone faced with such issue and is there something to try?

     Thanks,

    Grigor
