Can we run Coded UI tests in OS X? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have few tests created using CodedUI/MSTest which we wanted to run on Mac OS X. Is there any possibility to run these tests in Mac? if so, how?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi Phani,

Thank you for posting in the MSDN forum.

Would you mind letting us know more information about the Mac OS X?

Do you mean that it is related to this document here?

If so, sorry for that we didn’t have the specific Environment to repro this issue, and it seems that it is the third party product. Am I right?

    As this document here:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd380742.aspx

    Coded UI test supports:

    Windows 7

    Windows Server 2008 R2

    Windows 8

Of course, it also supports the Windows 8.1. For windows XP, it would work well for VS2010.

So I doubt that it has some limitations in other windows. Maybe you could test it in your side if you have the specific machine. Note: The VS 2010 and the later versions support this feature.

    Requirements:

Visual Studio Ultimate, Visual Studio Premium

    Best Regard,
