Windows Store App - App Design RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have seen a lot of windows store apps(News Apps) That have articles in them that you can scroll left or right to read more contents. I want to do the similar thing.

    I have 2 pictures and 2 textblocks.

    Textblocks: Will be dynamic. It will expand as text is stored in it. So it has no set Width.

    I want the layout to look like so:

    The content should scroll horizontally, like the News apps.  I have a couple ideas of how i can accomplish this.

    But what is the best method, to building the above page in XML?

  • The best method is always to try your ideas first and then ask for a help. For thsi I will suggest you to use GridView. But maybe your ideas are better can you share them with us ?

  • I want to use this:

    <Grid>

    <ScrollViewer>

    <StackPanel Alighment="Horizontal">

    //put pitcture, textbox, 2nd picture and textbox here.

    <StackPanel>

    </ScrollViewer>

    </Grid>

    NOTE: I wil be wrapping the GRID tag in a VIEWBOX tag  for scaling purposes.
