List of Predefined Generic Types Available in VB.Net, Framework 3.5 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello!

Where do I find a list of predefined generic types available in VB.Net, Framework version 3.5, please? I am aware of List, Queue, Stack, and Dictionary; are there more? I use VS 2008. Are there more in VS 2010?

  • You can check out the MSDN reference for generics (link below). You can change the .Net framework version at the top of the page to see what the differences are.

The namespace is System.Collections.Generics. You should also be able to get a good feel for what's in there via intellisense as well.

*quick side note: generics are a part of .Net proper and are not specific to VB.Net.
