  • Hi Everyone,

    I have a word document, which is created from custom template. This template have multiple content controls, when user is navigating in document and cursor hits content control.

    Is there a way my ms office task pane app can get any notification? Is there any event I can subscribe to?

    Second, what kind of information I can read about those content controls. example: to which entity it belong etc...? Is there any existing sample simulate something similar?

    I am fairly new with ms office app development.

    As far as I know, we can’t handle the office content controls in office task pane app.

    App for office can just interact with the partial Office client object models, App for office aimed at bringing web services and web technologies closer to Office developers. It is not good at operating object models. You can refer to the following article:
