A good book on sharepoint development? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
I was wondering if you guys could suggest a good book on developing sharepoint workflows etc with visual studio 2008 and infopath 2007. Any tutorials on this topic would also work. I have found many tutorials on VS2005 and Sharepoint or Sharepoint and infopath. But nothing on all of them together.

    Thanks

  • My book page is here (and it includes Development and Workflow sections)

    http://wssv3faq.mindsharp.com/Lists/v3%20WSS%20FAQ/V%20Books.aspx

The two Inside books are often recommended for Development and the David Mann book for Workflow.

I doubt if there is much anywhere explicitly on the combination but if Workflow is your main interest I would concentrate on the workflow books.

  • Yes,Mike is right.

"Workflow in the 2007 Microsoft Office System" is the best book for SharePoint Workflows.

  • Hi Raza,

Sharepoint How To (2007) - by Ishai Sagi would be a worthy addition to your library. It has several tips on sharepoint development and lots of how to, know how and easy to understand text. This book will also provide with code samples that you can easily use to develop  your sharepoint project requirements.

    Thanks.

  • Thank You People. I would look into the workflow books and try to piece it all together.
