Slideshow duration value won't stick (mikebore) - 8/29/2007 10:23 AM PST RRS feed

  • By: mikebore

I have used iView for years to make slideshows using 3 seconds per slide.
Expression Media is fine except that if select 3 seconds in slideshow
options, it changes to 3, then uses 4. If I then reopen the slideshow options
    it shows 4.

If I set it as 3 with iView, the open it with Expression the value 3 sticks.

I have trashed the prefs but it hasn't solved the problem.

    Any advice welcome.

    Thanks

    Mike

    Hi Mike,

I was able to reproduce the same issue using Expression Media for
Macintosh. I tested using Windows version of Expression Media and it saves
the slide show duration correctly with the catalog. So the issue appears to
be specific to Macintosh version of Expression Media.

We've documented this issue for further investigation by Expression Media
product group. Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and let
us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

And, for what it is worth, I've just noted the same problem ... PowerMac G%
    and OSX 10.4

Can you download the latest build (1.0.9038.0) of Expression Media with SP
1 and test it? This issue doesn't seem to be happening in this build.

Downloaded and tested! You are correct. The slideshow duration now remains at
the new setting entered by the user rather than always reverting to 4 seconds.

I see that a bug that bugs me still hasn't been squashed -- sorting by
keyword only sorts by the first keyword for those images that have more than
one keyword. I'm looking forward to the fix for this one.
