  • I want to add a tap event for my GridViewItem so that when I tap it, I am taken to a different XAML page of my choice. What code do I need to achieve this? VB preferably please.

  • So does this mean I will not be able to specify a XAML page using the .xaml entension?

  • You will navigate to the type of the page's class object. This will create a page based on the Xaml mark up and code file. For example, the "MainPage" class is built from MainPage.xaml and MainPage.xaml.vb . You navigate to GetType(MainPage)

See the examples in the Quickstart I linked.
