Are "HCK ofr Windows 8.1" and "HCK 2.1" same thing ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • At Download the Windows HLK, HCK, or Logo Kit

    https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/windows-hardware-lab-kit

The following two links seem to be able to download the same one.
       1) Windows HCK downloads - Windows HCK for Windows 8.1 - Get the Windows HCK for Windows 8.1
       2) Download Windows HCK 2.1 or Logo Kit 1.6 - Windows HCK 2.1 for Windows 8.1 and 7 - Download Windows HCK 2.1

I think that I will use HCK 2.1 when testing Windows Server 2008R2, 2012, 2012R2.
Can be 2) thought of as the latest HCK 2.1 that can be used in the Windows Server test?

As I tried on Windows 2012, it seems that the Multipath I-O Test fails because Devfund_PnPDTest_WLK_Functional.dll can not be found.
(This is the same phenomenon as posting below.
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/dd1f3835-bb29-4c77-8409-4819a7490c14/is-the-qfe-version-810027024-the-latest-official-one?forum=whck&prof=required
    )

Also, it seems that it is different from the one actually downloaded, "(974 KB, English)" written next to the "Get the Windows HCK for Windows 8.1" button,
    Is this link incorrect?

  • Hello,

Take a look at the following blog where it states that you must continue to use the Windows Hardware Certification Kit (HCK) version 2.1 to certify hardware for following operating systems:

    • Windows 7
    • Windows 8
    • Windows 8.1
    • Windows Server 2008 R2 (x64)
    • Windows Server 2012
    • Windows Server 2012 R2

    Thanks!

  • So, are "HCK for Windows 8.1" and "HCK 2.1" the same thing?

Why does the Multipath I - O Test of HCK 2.1 fail with Devfund_PnPDTest_WLK_Functional.dll not found?
