Concerned about the future of Access Web Apps?

Question
-
We have developed many Access Web apps for clients and starting to get a bit nervous about the future of Access Web Apps. Can't remember the last time something new was posted to the Access blog! Searched the web for anything on "Access roadmap" and find nothing. Our concern is Microsoft's focus on the integration of modern SharePoint lists with Flow and PowerApps. Is this where we are heading? I hope not because we have been down the SharePoint list path before and the restrictions are far to limiting (5000 records the most obvious). We are in the process of developing several new apps for customers but would like some guidance on what to expect down the road. Don't want to become stranded like InfoPath.

Hi SpaceData,
you had mentioned that ,"a bit nervous about the future of Access Web Apps. Can't remember the last time something new was posted to the Access blog!"
well, This forum is currently support from Access 2007 to Access 2016.
so Access Web App is the included feature in these above mentioned versions. so it is supported and will supported in future also.
Here we don't have any information regarding Future Plans for Access Web App.
From last several Years Access Web App is supported and will be surely supported in future too. this forum provides the support based on the version.
like support for Office 2003 has been ended. so forum also stops the support for the feature in Access 2003. Then also We try our best and if solution is available for the problem then we always try to provide it to the user.
you had mentioned that ,"! Searched the web for anything on "Access roadmap" and find nothing."
There are materials are available for Access Web Apps on the Internet. In that you can find the description, syntax and examples regarding Access Web App and if you think that the materials are not enough or there should be more materials required related with programming then you can give your feedback to Access User Voice regarding this issue.
please visit the link below to submit your feedback.
The other thing you have question regarding SharePoint Records limit. so here I suggest you to post your SharePoint related question on particular SharePoint forum and I am sure you will get the solution for your issue.
and to get a news regarding new features in Access you need to keep following the Access blog.
or you can visit the link below.
in the link you will find the link for support. click on the support then you will see the option for contact us at the bottom of the page. from there you can try to contact through phone call to Microsoft Support and ask for your queries.
Regards
Deepak

No one can truly answer your question. Those in the know are under NDA, so they couldn't comment without opening themselves up to serious repercussions.
