Bing Map enterprise key expired RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am using WPF Bing map control and Silverlight Bing map control. Previously, I was using Developer key but recently I changed to a new Enterprise key and this key worked well for few weeks. Two weeks ago, I am seeing "Invalid Credentials" but I am sure this key does not expire because there is no expiration for this key.

Some people told me that this is due to the key validation is done in new web services and this does not work with WPF Bing map control and Silverlight Bing map. But I couldn't find any new WPF Bing map control in the website, the version that I am using now is version 1.0.

My colleague has sent some questions to the Bing Maps Enterprise support team but he couldn't get any solid answer.

Can't figure out why this happened and we need to resolve this problem as soon as possible. Please help.

  • Hi Ricky,

I am also facing the same issue. Kindly suggest.

    The below is the message:

"The specified credentials are invalid. You can sign up for a free developer account https://www.bingmapsportal.com"

as well as the key updates which was generated

  • Hi Roopak,

Please email MapLic@Microsoft.com as they can help with your license issue.  Chances are though that you have added a space to the front of your key or some other error entering your maps key for that instance.

    Sincerely,

  • Hi Roopak,

Your contract shows as expired.  Have you been able to reconnect with MapLic and work on your license?

    Sincerely,

  • Hi IoTGirl,

Thanks for information and suggestions, the actual problem was,

The Bing Map Team has to update the License as enterprise, but however they have updated enterprise as Basic by mistake, due to which we are facing this issue.

    Thanks

  • Hi Roopak,

I can confirm that is not the case.  I looked up your key and it was indeed expired so the message you were receiving was correct.

    Sincerely,

    IoTGirl
