Table View timestamp/rowversion DBConcurrencyException error RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am using a table view with a timestamp/rowversion bound to a form. When I try to save the record, I get a DBConcurrencyException error.  How do update/refresh the table view's timestamp before editing and saving the record?

I have found that if I re-fill the tableAdapter/Datatable after each save/update, the timestamp is updated and I do not receive the concurrency error. However, refreshing the whole datatable after each save is fairly time consuming and I've got to believe there is a better way.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. -ME

  • If you update a datatable, then only rows where the rowstate is not "unchanged" are updated.

Other rows are simply not affected.
