  • It's a constant, a member of the wdSaveFormat enumeration. Depending on your language, and how you've set up the library references, you should be able to just state it. This is a VB example that I've extrapolated from one of my above posted links:

        ActiveDocument.SaveAs FileName:=strDocName, _
            FileFormat:=wdFormatXMLDocument

  • "Office button"/Save As and choose the required file type...

    If you need something else, you have to provide more information.

  • I assume you want to do this from within Word, or with Word automation, since you're asking in this forum.

    You can call 'SaveAs' on the document object, specifying "wdFormatXMLDocument" as the file format argument.
