How to know if an Item is open in an inspector RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

is there a way to know, if an item is currently open by an inspector?

The reason is, that in one case a Taskitem can be changed by folder ItemChangeEvent, but this must not happen if this item is currently open by the user.

My apporach now is to create a UserProperty as Lock when my FOrm gets loaded and delete this when the Form closes. The folder Eventhandler then checks for this userproperty.

But is there a better way?

  • You can loop through the Application.Inspectors collection and check if the item is opened by checking the value of the Inspector.CurrentItem.EntryId property.
