  • Hi Sajjad.h,

Before helping you troubleshooting this issue, there are two clarifications with you:

1.Could you please tell us how did you install the Xamarin?

From the Xamarin website or from the Control Panel>Program and Features to install the Xamarin related components?

2, If you click the "OK", could you create a band new project successfully? or is there any problem with this step?

Also,  after using ISO repair your VS, please use  http://aka.ms/vscollectto gather the installation logs. After using it, you will find vslogs.zip from %temp% folder. Please upload the file to  https://onedrive.live.com/and share the link here.

We will help you for further troubleshoot according to the error log.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Sajjad.h,

    Thanks for your post.

Xamarin is a third-party component to Visual Studio, if you got this issue once you install it, the reason might be that the Visual Studio install packages missing or corrupted because of the Xamarin.

Can you start VS in safemode and check if the issue occurs again?

If it still occurs, there must be sth. wrong with the installation of the VS. Please try to uninstall and reinstall it completely.

    Please refer to:

    https://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/42800/visual-studio-continues-to-crash

Or there is conflict or compatibility problem between them.

    Please see:

    https://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/36500/visual-studio-crashes-after-installing-xamarin

If you have installed the SQL Server, please check C:\Windows\SysWOW64 Directory and delete the unnecessary files to see if it works

    Best Regards,
