I have 2 years of experience in .net. I want to know what is the role of software developer in cloud computing.

What I have come to know so far is that it is for hosting purpose.So It is good area to build career or its just a another skill set.

Nice question ... & your undarsranding about cloud is also good.... i wont to explore it as 80% in cloud is hosting as business perspective but 20% is development changes related with cloud computing services or env.

If you go through windows azure cloud provides us diffrent service as storege account, ACS & bla bla bla ...

so you need to do change our application need to develop application as per cloud enviourmnent. 

i will give you one example .normally you are storing images n your application as creating one folder but but it is not possible in cloud as your application instace location is changing.. so you need to use BLOB form storage account it will help to store your files.

so as per developers angle there is not any major change you need to cutomize your application parts as using cloud services 

just clooud provide you such features because of that your aplication scalability & performace increase developer need to make application related with cloud
