  • Harsimrat,

Are you trying to provide an image created on-the-fly as part of the content of a report?

If I am right in understanding what you are doing, then, in spite of what Martin requests, don't bother furnishing him with information about the ReportViewer control since it won't help him (or anybody else) to figure this out.

What you need to do is look into CustomReportItem as part of your RDL/RDLC (report definition).  You use a CustomReportItem for this purpose, not a standard Image element, and then you have the API you need to handle the requirement of passing through the image.

I have done this myself and talk about it here http://spacefold.com/lisa/post/Snips-and-snails-and-puppy-dog-tails-what-little-polygons-are-made-of.aspx --

You will find copious references to samples that I used to understand how to do this in that post, including an appropriate page in the docs and a reference to Chris Hayes' original example from before this stuff was documented http://blogs.msdn.com/chrishays/archive/2005/10/04/CustomReportItemSample.aspx.

  • You'll have to provide a little bit more information on how this Report Viewer control works, and API you're calling, and then what you're trying to do with that data?

    Thanks,

  • I'm using the Microsoft Report Viewer Control and if I have the Image I can pass it to that API and should be able to show it. I don't know the way when I have the Image object, how to temporarily save it or it can be passed to report viewers controls image object and can be shown straight or not ?

  • What is the property you set or method that you call, including the parameters???

I know nothing about Report Viewer, so you will have to give me as much information as you can, so that I can work it out.
