LINQ and the "LINQ to SQL" class RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello

I guess that LINQ can be used without using any "LINQ to SQL" class?
Or in other words, "LINQ to SQL" is an helper tool, but LINQ has a more general use.
Could you confirm if this is right?
Could I benefit from LINQ once I retrieved a DataTable by using the SqlClient namespace ?
Could I even benefit from LINQ to handle a simple object[,] ?
Could you indicate me some material where I could get an overview of all the possible use of LINQ?

    Thanks,

    Michel
