blend is slow RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi,

i have searched this forum but get no real solution for this .

for example switching from a control to another in a form and display it's related properties panel in the property panel take about 3/4 seconds each time, and this apply to all kind of interaction in the software

This is really really a productivity killer :(

    this my Hardware specification :

    laptop hp6735s

    - AMD sempron 2GHz

    - 4GO ram

    - HDD 320GO 7200rpm almost empty

    - ATI RADEON 3200 HD 256MO

i know that it's a little old config but i have performances issues with only blend

    - VS 2013 work fine

    - Blender(3d program) also work more than fine

    - all other software generally work fine

God what can i do, i really love this software and love to work with  . but at this time like i said , it kill my productivity

any help, idea, advice is more than welcome

    thanks and good day

  • well,

    i got  a new laptop :

    Dell inspiron i5-4200U

    6 GO Ram

    Intell4400/ATIRadeon 6870 switchable graphics

    1 TO HDD

now everything seems smooth and happy :)

it's a radical solution but at least it's works ;)

  • I was just coming here to post about the same problem. I recently had to switch to VS2013/Blend2013 and when I try to open my project (which granted, is huge, with 100+ projects in the solution) it takes like 15-20+ MINUTES to load blend! On the same project with Blend4 it took a minute or two tops. What's the deal? Granted there's a ton of other usability improvements between the two, but the load times are killing productivity. Once it's loaded it's great....but with Blend 2013 the wait time for it to load is ridiculous.

I mean literally I'll open it before I go out to lunch now because I know it won't be loaded until I get back to the office. Is there anything that can be done to speed it up?

    +1 vote to the question.
