SharePoint 2013 search for people not working, how to fix this?

Hi All,

Search is working fine if i search for everything, but when I search for People it redirect to "http://spsearch/Pages/PageNotFoundError.aspx?requestUrl=http://spsearch/peopleresults.aspx" - Page not found error. How to fix this? thanks in advance!

Hi,

Please check the Preferred search page mentioned in the User profile service application.

In CA > Manage service applications (under Service Apps) > User Profile Service App > Setup My Sites > Preferred Search Center and entered: http://[yourdomain:port]/[path to enterprise search site]/Pages/

The issue is caused by a non-completed search center URL. Please configure the "Search Settings" and set the Search Center URL value as below:

http://dev.sp13.xyz.com/sites/enterprisesearchcenter/pages

You need to apply "/pages" at the end of your search center URL. It's covered in detail at:
