Bug in Update Rollup 1 for Exchange Server 2010 SP3 breaks online archive names RRS feed

  • Question

  • Rollup 1 has a bug that breaks online archive names.

Can anybody tell me when there will be a fix available? Otherwise we have to uninstall this rollup (our customers have started to complain and it's getting worse....) :-(

  • No reaction. Seems no one (even Microsoft not)? knows the status.

Leaves us no other option then to uninstall this rollup during our next service window on Thursday the 18th of July :-(

Working for over 9 years now with Exchange, never before experienced the need to uninstall a patch. Once there has to be a first time I guess....

  • same problem here, did the uninstall and the problem was fixed.

Rollup 2 does the same, so we uninstalled that one too.
strange that there are 2 rollups and still no fix for this issue.

  • Which clients do you have YOIS? Outlook 2010, 2013?

  • We've got this same issue. It was supposedly meant to be fixed in RU2 in combination with Office 2010 SP2 but this is not the case. Both Outlook 2010 and 2013 show all delegated archives with the primary users username. I think most people who use this feature will say a fix for this is needed rather rapidly.

  • Hi,
The Outlook hotfix packages released on two weeks ago has a fix for this issue:

You connect to Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 mailbox by using Microsoft Outlook 2010. When you enable the feature that lets you view the online archive of a manager in Outlook 2010, two online archives that have the same name are displayed.

Note: To resolve this issue, you must also have Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 3 (SP3) Update Rollup 2 installed.

    Outlook 2013 hotfix package (Outlook-x-none.msp): August 13, 2013

  • We're on Office 2010 SP2 and we have the same issue. The hotfixes are for Outlook 2010 SP1.  I don't see how this can be an Outlook issue, since it originates with Exchange.  We've removed RU2 (never did go to RU1) and all is back to normal.

Seems like I posted the wrong link for the Outlook 2010 hotfix package.
Here is the right one: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2817574
