C# ODBC - Upload .csv file to linux based inventory system RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I have a scanning machine that takes the weight and dimensions of boxes and uploads them to a specific file folder on our server in a .csv file.  I need a C# program that will take this file at specified time intervals and upload it to our inventory system.  Since each file is named differently from the scanning machine, I need the file that has been uploaded to be moved to another file so that there is only one file to be read by my program.   I've looked around, and the only solutions I can find deal with SQL databases, so I not sure how to accomplish this.  The inventory system we use is an old system builder and linux based.

  • What is your problem?

As it's a Linux based system, I would expect that this is done using a shell script. Move the file to import from the upload path to the import path. Import it. Move it to the archive path.
