Classic asp on windows server2008 RRS feed

    Hi,

I migrated my classic asp application from windows server2000 to windows server2008 with IIS 7 and it stopped working? Can anybody help me what went wrong?

Config Error This configuration section cannot be used at this path. This happens when the section is locked at a parent level. Locking is either by default (overrideModeDefault="Deny"), or set explicitly by a location tag with overrideMode="Deny" or the legacy allowOverride="false".

    Thanks

Can you check if a simple hello world asp page(with just one line as shown below) works, preferably in a new site?

    <% response.write "hello ASP world" %>

If that doesn't work make sure you have IIS7's ASP feature installed:

Start -> Run -> appwiz.cpl -> Turn Windows features on or off -> Server Manager -> Roles -> Web Server -> Add Role Services -> Application Development Features -> ASP

Just a guess, but I'd say it stopped working.  Whatever that means.

I'm assuming you installed ASP and configured your site to use it correctly, of course.

I believe this link should show how to do that.
