SetPositionRectangle On Metro Bing Control RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Is it possible to add a scalable element with the xaml control for metro?

With silverlight it is done with SetPositionRectangle, but it isn't yet available on Metro. My workaround it to do a scale animation on the children of the map on the viewchanged that detects zoomlevel change.

    Thank You!

  • It is not possible. May I ask what you are using this for?

  • Hello, I want to use it to create a scalable element that gets rezised on zoom changes. A pushpin shouldn't be as big on zoom level=1 or zoom level=20

    http://www.microsoft.com/maps/isdk/silverlight/default.htm

You can see it on that link, on the set scalable element example.

  • Do you really want a pushpin to be 1024 times bigger at zoom level 10 than at zoom level 1?

  • If we don't have this functionality we'll end up with a pushpin that is the same size all the time. This case I trying to implement is a sort of a bubble over a city, and if you scroll to a worldwide view that bubble will no longer be just on top of the USA but over all the American continent.

    Thanks
